5. Warning from United Church of Canada – ADP Spam Email
Attention Church Treasurers and Ministry Personnel:
There’s email spam being circulated which claims to be from ADP. Delete it – do not open it. ADP will NEVER email a treasurer, or minister, or anyone about their personal, business, or pastoral charge account. Like other common spamming methods, this email attempts to use the name of a well known service provider to gain your trust (one-fifth of people in North America have a human resource related service from ADP). Don’t be fooled! If you aren’t sure of the source of an email you receive claiming to be from ADP, don’t hesitate to call them directly, ADP: 1-877-377-4784.
