History of Wesley Methodist Church (Hamilton, Bermuda)

Rev. George Whitefield was the first Methodist minister to visit Bermuda. He arrived in Bermuda in 1748 from the United States due to poor health. He did not have a license to preach in Bermuda but he didn’t let that hold him back as he preached in fields and homes. His stay only lasted two months but the seeds of Methodism had been planted.
