The 2013 Conference Annual Meeting made the decision to extend the Conference Fundraising project to include a direct invitation to congregations (Pastoral Charges). This invitation was sent by letter mail in mid-June, addressed to the “Secretary of Board/Council.” Each letter contained specific statistical information unique to each Pastoral Charge, and offered some suggestions for ways in which a fundraising objective might be calculated. The approach is intended to be invitational, and asks each Pastoral Charge to consider their particular circumstances and choose an objective that is appropriate for their context.

As congregations “return to business” following the summer months, some have discovered that they can no longer find the letter. To receive another copy of the letter that is specific for your Pastoral Charge, please contact the Conference Office at 506-536-1334 or info@marconf.ca.

Pastoral Charges are requested to respond to the Conference Office by the end of October. The Conference Executive will meet in November to re-evaluation our circumstances and determine what further actions are necessary.
